Angelic Scott has this to say about what inspired her to study Animation and why she chose to attend Max the Mutt:
“The name’s Angelic Scott! I’m an aspiring artist and animator from Gatineau, Quebec. I’ve been interested in story writing and art for as long as I can remember, but I only started to draw when I was 14, and I only really started taking it seriously when I was 17. I spent five hours a day nearly everyday practicing, drawing and studying to improve. During that time, I discovered the art of animation and decided to pursue it as a career path and boy do I regret nothing!
Now, all I want to do is animate or draw! I’m inspired by the world around me, I study it endlessly so that I can reshape and make it to my own design.
I chose Max the Mutt on a whim, mostly appealed by the small class sizes and the feeling of a nice spirited community, but I didn’t expect it to be the place of my dreams. The teachers and staff are absolutely amazing and inspire me to push myself beyond my limits. They’ve shown me valuable lessons I’ll keep to my core for the rest of my life.
My goal as an animator is to help develop and put in the world the stories and ideas of all the creative people around me. I want to help people showcase their stories and creativity, and possibly even make my own. In more technical terms, I aspire to be a lead animator, or a storyboard artist. It will be a long road, but I look forward to every step of it!”
