Zabi was selected as a 2017 Finalist for The Rookies Global Competition for young artists and received a concept art paid internship at UbiSoft last summer. Then was asked to stay on at Ubisoft in September while completing his last year of studies at MTM. Zabi was a part of a team for developing a new game!
Born in Uzbekistan, Zabi immigrated to Canada at age 10.  While he’s always loved art, he focused on math and science for a while because he didn’t think he could have a career in art.  Since discovering the world of Concept Art, Zabi has refocused on his artwork and has received well-deserved honors, including the Adobe Youth Voice International Scholarship and being named a finalist in The Drafts section for The Rookies 2016 International Award, Illustration Category.
