A unique and highly specialized path for artists who want to tell stories.
There are very few programs in Canada that teach how to actually create comics, graphic novels, and professional illustration work from start to finish.
Many programs focus on drawing. This program focuses on visual storytelling.
You’ll learn how to:
From concept → final production → publishing.
Every part of the program is structured around one goal: helping you become a working illustrator or comic artist.
If you have ever dreamed of working in the comics industry, creating your own webcomic or illustrating children’s books – this is the program for you.
• A complete, professional illustration and/or comics portfolio
• The ability to create full comic pages, stories, and visual narratives
• Strong fundamentals (anatomy, perspective, composition, storytelling)
• Experience with real production workflows and deadlines
• Knowledge of freelance work, contracts, and self-promotion
• A portfolio website, resume, and job-ready skillset
Not sure where to start? Tell us a bit about your work, we’ll point you in the right direction.
• Small classes (max 16 students, often fewer)
• Direct 1-on-1 feedback every week
• Instructors actively working in comics & illustration
• A rare focus on storytelling, not just drawing
• Training built around real creative careers
