Students will learn what it means to be a layout artist with hands-on studio-like production experience. They will learn about composition, how to set up cameras based on the storyboard, and how to create a focal point that serves the purpose of the story. How to adapt to different styles, and create a library for quick reuse of assets. They will learn sketching to final line work, the importance of line weight, how to organize your file for production, and by the end of the workshop complete a sequence of layouts.
Maíra Valentim is a Concept Artist and Illustrator who has many years of experience working for the games and animation industry. She has worked on projects as Young Love, Night a the Museum and currently is a concept artist for the Disney/Marvel show called Spidey and His Amazing Friends.
