ANIMATION | 4 YEAR DIPLOMA PROGRAM

CREATING MOVEMENT

The four-year diploma program is based on industry relevance and academic excellence. With career development as the central objective, students will develop high level skills to maximize their employability.

The program focuses on cross-disciplinary training delving deep into basic fundamentals of art, visual development and animation. Students, under the supervision and guidance of industry professionals, will comprehensively learn the ins and outs of animation softwares and visual development methodology while also becoming acclimated with the industry production pipeline.

  • Industry standard 2D and 3D Animation software
  • Fundamentals of art, including anatomy, colour theory, perspective, animal drawing, etc. and connecting those concepts to Animation.
  • In-depth comprehension of industry standard methodology for pre-production, including character design and storyboarding
  • The animation industry production pipeline, from story development to editing and rendering the final product, under the guidance of Industry professionals
  • Writing a resume, compiling a portfolio and making a website

  • Prepare a copy of your secondary and/or post-secondary school transcripts or equivalent.
  • A personal statement essay (max. 350 words) or video essay (max. 2 minutes) describing why this program and MTM is the right fit for you.
